Neutral fruits aroma. Good coffee flavours and citrussy hoppiness. Dry with earthy qualities. Not at all bad and quite British. hirigalzkar (596), Stockholm, Sweden

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 8, 2009 It started out as a nice looking, almost red ale with a thin white head, and that’s where the goodness ended. Almost no aroma, except perhaps a trace of malt. Taste was "flat", which was an ideal match for the lacklustre mouthfeel. Finish was quite forgettable. Not a very good beer, regardless of the price, and 5 euros was the happy hour price with regular price being 6.50 euros. More like unhappy hour price, Paris or not. boto (1345), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Cask @ The Frog & Rosbif, Paris. Served at true English beer temperature. This one poured a hazy amber color. There was a small off-white head on it that left some lacing. The aroma has citrus and floral hop notes, as well as some caramel malts. The taste is somewhat bitter, but not overly so. Hint of caramel malt to the taste. It pretty well balanced, but still a shade thin in the body. Not bad, however. bhensonb (4364), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2009 On cask at the Frog & Rosbif. Dark reddish copper with a good creamy beige head. Fruity caramel aroma. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Rich flavors of caramel and fruit. Tends to go a bit bland at the finish. More dry than sweet. Just a bit more dark fruity than many English ESBs. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Cask conditioned at The Frog & Rosbif, Rue de St Denis, Paris. Dark amber with white head. Initial , buttery caramel notes soon give over to a fairly roasty, fruity bitter, some sweet mollasses flavours, some peach. Best of the frog beers for us and quite reasonable.
