| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Bomber. 2009 vintage. Smells of pepper, grain, faint banana esters. Pours golden with minimal head, mediocre lacing. Peppery taste; somewhat sweet. Ful-bodied with a nice tasty long finish. A bit sour in the aftertaste. Tastes like an American take on a Belgian style, but that’s not a bad thing. I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. Addendum: I had to change the score on this from a 4.0 to 3.7. The beer gets a little watery towards the end of the bottle. Still a fine beer, however. killjoy966 (221), Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Pretty good for a Belgian. The banana and clove notes are more subdued than other Belgians. Palate is crisp and bubbly. Tastes a little spicy with a strong hop and alcohol presence. Another good showing from the Brewmaster Reserve. nickd717 (1352), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Bottle from Whole Foods Los Altos. Ramon, the beer guy there, recommended this highly. While I don’t necessarily agree that it was that awesome, it is a bit underrated. Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a quickly dissipating one-finger white head. After that, looks not too dissimilar from a white wine. Aroma is sweet pale malt, Belgian yeast, banana, and spices. Flavor is pale malt, table sugar, yeast, banana, coriander, herbal notes, and a little alcohol. A little sweet and underattenuated for the style, and just a tad boozy. Good though overall. Body is medium-light and palate is rather still, but the long, sweet finish is pretty nice. philbertk (51), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Fizzy, clear golden, frothy lace - nose of dusty, dry, biscuity malts, some phenolic character, light tartness - taste is light, biscuity, flinty. crackery, peppery - some underlying sweetness - I usually like most of these characteristics in a beer, but this is beer is too strong for its light and crisp flavors, because a strong, boozy/alcoholic character dominates in the long term, and the other qualities of the beer are too delicate and/or weak to support this - alcoholic finish, lingering dry malts - meh.
