troyc (1046), Lubbock, Texas, USA Dec 17, 2008 [Bottle] Pours a dark golden color with a nice amount of white head. Aroma has a decent malt profile, with caramel and sweet biscuits in addition to some caramel. Taste is quite similar, with the only real addition being the addition of some grassy light hops in the finish. Carbonation is a little on the high side, with the mouthfeel being average. Slightly disappointing considering the other couple Furthermore beers I sampled had a unique twist to them. theisti (1231), Leawood, Kansas, USA Dec 9, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Mineeapolis, Minnesota. Pour is cloudy golden orange with a nice 1 inch off white head. Aroma is some toasted grain malt, faint. Taste is toasted malt, with some nice soft grass, and a semi bitter bite near the back. Finish has some mineral, is clean and brief. Palate is medium to thin, quite drinkable. Simple and tasty. thejoeshow (211), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Dec 1, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow color with a moderate white head that has decent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is slightly bready with some grass...I almost get a skunkiness to it. Flavor is medium sweet malt with a bit of bread at the end. Not the most stand out beer I have had. Meh..... Syd (807), Waconia, Minnesota, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle pours pale amber with a fairly decent head that clings and leaves lace. The aroma is bread like, almost sour dough, and some grass. The flavor is very bread like with a slight fruit and hop linger. The palate is a bit more rich than I expected. It produces some weird burps. Overall, this one is OK and I would venture to say a bit under rated. ChristianScheffel (2331), Odense, Denmark Oct 10, 2008 Slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has biscuit-y malt, grassy hops and a touch of diacetyl. Dry and malty flavour with fruity notes and a hint of hops in the finish. Very English.
