harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Dec 27, 2008 Bottle at the brewery. Hazy old gold, thin beige head. Tripely barley wine. Sweet coating of the teeth. Bit of nougat/honey/sweet nut maybe. I quite like it. Alcohol is a little obvious. But I like the sweetness. MesandSim (4723), Highgate, Greater London, England Dec 14, 2008 A Mes rate. Bottle at the brewery. Semi hazy yellow with a thin white head. Sweet and sugary with lots of honey. Actually it tastes for all the world like there has been some mead added. Far to sweet and sickly with a thick and sticky mouth feel. MiP (6732), Flensburg, Germany Dec 11, 2008 Bottle, 9.8%. Nice vinous aroma, some light malts. Spicy, anis and clove. Cloudy yellow colour, some floaties. Sweet flavour, quite citric. Lemony citrus notes. Might be infected, but tastes OK. yespr (8540), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 7, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours unclear yellow with minimal yeast sediments and a diminished white head. Mild yeasty and fruity aroma. Flavour has the same with a mild sweet and malty flavour with a light acidic fruity touch. Yeasty and fruity finish. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 3, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of MiP/yespr. Pours a very cloudy golden with plenty of floaties and basically no head. Very spicy and slightly sweet nose. Full-bodied with sweet malts and fruit and again some spices. Some hops to be found in the finish. 281108
