Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Bright, but hazy golden color with lot of bubbles and extremely well-formed fluffy white head, that provides a massively cohesive lacing. The aroma is full of wonderful peppery coriander and aromatic hops. The flavor is also full of citruses and mild hop resin oils. A few atributes that i can say is coriander, honey malts, pine oil, orange peel and a lot of citruses of course. A finish is more on the sweet, malty side. A lot more easier bodied one than expected. Amazing in it’s own style, reminiscent Tripel Karmeliet and maybe a bit more flavorful?? I don’t know but i’ll research it.

Bottle. Poured gold with an nice thick white head. Aroma was complex with notes of citrus peels, sweet malts, coriander, brown sugar, cereal and bananas. Flavor was not as complex, sweet with fruit like banana and apples with an undertone of spice and malt.

Nice opalescent golden body with a fantastic stable and foamy white head. Very intensive aroma of the style with tons of malt, coriander, orange peel, fruity esters, liqueric alcohol. Very alluring! And the flavor....Oily texture with a smooth mouthfeel, malt at the start. After a second the flavor-bomb exploses. Coriander, fine fruity sourish-tart taste, orange peel, coriander and hop...Well hidden alcohol numbling my palate and warming me up. Absolutely tripel style, i will search the beer anywhere!

Bottle. Pours a hazy, golden color with an extremely large, frothy white head. Lacing is excellent and head has some extreme staying power. Aromas of bananas, barley, biscuit, and a hint of citrus. Lively mouthfeel with a nice slick, sticky finish. Flavors of bananas, bread, flowers, and some citrus. Wonderful beer!

Bottle conditioned aged 7 yrs. Gold to light brown with white head. The aging has produced a smoother beer than I remember, however there is still a perfumed candy like flavour, almost strawberry in the background. The malt has a honeyed character, but is still light for the ABV and age. Nice and yeasty sweet on the finish. A very nice beer.

0.75l - Gold color with epic head even in a wetted glass. Yeast on the nose, spicy palate with a mildly sour finish. Classic Belgium. What’s not to love?

Light golden color with an long lasting head and good lacing. Sweet and alcoholic aroma with a matching sweet flavor. Flavor mixes citrus and spice components with a somewhat bitter aftertaste.

Pours a cloudy, soupy brown with a large white head. Aroma has a lot of cream, yeast, very bready with some brown sugar. Flavor has a lot of honey, boozy and sweet. Some grasses/hay toward the end. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium viscosity. Not a very good triple, frankly. Overall, fair.
