Flavor is big chocolate, roasted grains, but almost overdone with the chocolate, a little too sweet. I’d love to blend a chocolate yeti with the regular oak aged yeti to tone down the sweetness a bit. I didn’t really notice the cayenne at first, but as this beer warms it’s presence grows and certainly affects the flavor and mouthfeel. Once warm, the finish becomes spicy. This beer is very good, and close to being excellent in my opinion. potbeercollege (399), Boulder, Colorado, USA

I mean the chocolate definitely adds a different flair making wood and alcohol more prevalent. Chocolate also adds earthier presence in nose. I mean its Yeti. carl4beer (403), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

Mouthful is a smooth cocoa delight that finishes with a lttle bite, maybe that cayanne. The bite in the finish is a perfect complement to this great brew. Nose is sweet with a nice chocolate edge. Taste is sweet and full of chocolate, very nice, not that I doubted it. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Dark beer with a frothy brown head that left sticky lace. Big dark brown sugar and cocoa nose with hints of green, grassy hops. Bitter chocolate flavors with vanilla and oak, bitter coffee and more of the grassy hops. Very lively on the tounge. Almost too much of a burn. Still, a nice big beer. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2009 I’m kind of surprised this beer rates so high. It was so-so. The beer pours t a black brown body with a thin bubbly tan head. The aroma is heavily peppery with some chocolate and light oats. The flavor has a huge green pepper all the way through that’s overtly distracting. Medium bodied. KimJohansen (7132), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Sweet aroma with burned malt, espresso and dark chocolate. Flavour had burned malt, dark chocolate espresso and canilla. Finished sweet and full. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA
