Commercial Description:
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Aroma of chocolate dominates, along with vanilla and a little woody mustiness. Flavor is big chocolate, roasted grains, but almost overdone with the chocolate, a little too sweet. I’d love to blend a chocolate yeti with the regular oak aged yeti to tone down the sweetness a bit. I didn’t really notice the cayenne at first, but as this beer warms it’s presence grows and certainly affects the flavor and mouthfeel. Once warm, the finish becomes spicy. This beer is very good, and close to being excellent in my opinion.

Bomber. As always, an excellent offering, but amp those hops back up and forget the coco. I mean the chocolate definitely adds a different flair making wood and alcohol more prevalent. Chocolate also adds earthier presence in nose. I mean its Yeti.

Pours black w thin tan head. Aroma is sweet cocoa and roasted malt. Mouthful is a smooth cocoa delight that finishes with a lttle bite, maybe that cayanne. The bite in the finish is a perfect complement to this great brew.

Bomber I picked up in Dallas, and shared at Strong Ale 2009. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is sweet with a nice chocolate edge. Taste is sweet and full of chocolate, very nice, not that I doubted it.

Dark beer with a frothy brown head that left sticky lace. Big dark brown sugar and cocoa nose with hints of green, grassy hops. Bitter chocolate flavors with vanilla and oak, bitter coffee and more of the grassy hops. Very lively on the tounge. Almost too much of a burn. Still, a nice big beer.

I’m kind of surprised this beer rates so high. It was so-so. The beer pours t a black brown body with a thin bubbly tan head. The aroma is heavily peppery with some chocolate and light oats. The flavor has a huge green pepper all the way through that’s overtly distracting. Medium bodied.

Black with a medium sized beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, espresso and dark chocolate. Flavour had burned malt, dark chocolate espresso and canilla. Finished sweet and full.

Bomber. Good chocolate candy bar aroma with some vanilla and oak. Black body with tan head. Cramy chcoclate vanilla thickness but the bittering part had me taking few asprian the morning after. Easy and smooth on the palate. May have to buy another one of this good stuff.
