Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

This beer is just awesome!. Gorgeous on the initial pour with over an inch of head. The color if a nice golden amber. Very fresh from the bottle and bottled on just the 23rd of September. Medium bodied but really almost drinks like a light bodied beer. I smell a very floral/citrus combo on the nose along with subtle hints of straw. Slight nuances of malts hidden in there. Great lacing of the glass there as well. Awesome head retention. On the palate i am getting fresh citrus notes, floral hints, resiny, sticky mouth feel there as well. A bitter but very balanced hop bite through to the finish. Fantastic!

22 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a clear amber color with a big, rocky, eggshell white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, caramel, pepper, pineapple, and dust. Flavor of grassy hops, caramel malts, dust, grapefruit citrus and other fruits, and pine. Good balance of sweet and bitter. Bitter finish. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, earthy mouthfeel. Not bad but a bit overrated.

A nose of strawberries, "rulltårta", metal, grape and lemon. Taste is of citrus, dandelion, anis, iron and grass. It has a little acidity to it, and finish is bitter and salty in a well-balanced way. Very drinkable and elegant for an APA.

Slightly peachy, resiny and slighly minty, piny biting hops on the aroma. Surprisingly soft in the mouth. Slightly vermouth tasting before the hops take over. Not *that* bitter, mind you, but it’s the hops that rule this beer. They rule mildly though.

Aroma of fresh flowers and citrus. Appearance is amber with medium head. Taste is bitter but not overwhelming with hints of citrus and fruit. Overall a very good and tasty beer however not very complex.

One of the prettiest pours I have ever seen. Perfect head leaving a beautiful amount of brilliant white lacing on the glass. Very nice. Piney citrus hops aromas are there, quite potent and pretty grassy too, like walking through a field. The taste fell a little bit short of the potent aroma but still had some bittering hop flavor balanced by touches of caramel. Very enjoyable beer

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours an amber color with a nice, quite big white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is citrus hoppy; there’s also grapefruit, grass, pineapple, tropical fruits and toffee. Flavour is lightly caramely sweet, there’s citrus, grass, grapefruit, toffee, cookies, and a slight hint of tropical fruit and resin. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Texture is oily, carbonation is average. Nice, refreshing pale ale though not superb.
