| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Gold colored but not at all pale looking with a decent sized white head. Sweet but mild and thin. Corn, grainy cereal, the usual suspects for the style here. Stronger than average (for the style) bitter saazy hips with some unwanted sourness. Weak finish. Not all bad but definitely limited. Gustav1996 (23), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Pours yellow with a medium head. Bitter taste that goes down well cold. I used to drink these before my state had high gravity beers... now we have them and I no longer buy Grolsch. However, I do have a soft spot for them. Not the best beer but not bad. halfonit (457), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 27, 2009 A very clear and pale yellow color. Aroma is of floral malts and a skunked scent. The palate on this brew is very carbonated. Flavors include malts, hops, and skunk. Has a skunked bitter aftertaste. This reminds me of a Heineken Light. Vaiz (81), Netherlands
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Aroma somehow of wet paper. Flavor is quite bitter, watery and a little bit grainy. Decent bitter finish. There are better pilsners, but I don’t mind drinking this. Niko100 (127), New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Light straw color, Medium body; Aroma of malt & hops; Flavor of malt, light hops, and grain; Not too bad - an average macro lager for me. Stew41 (1052), Caulfield, Australia
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 12, 2009 This might be as bad as premium lager gets. Sweet, almost thick palate loaded with cheap malts and adjuncts. Faint hoppy impact and a macro industrial malt compone that has a pilsner touch too it. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Serving: Swingtop bottle.
Appearance: Pale yellow color with a foamy, white head. Okay retention, but not much in the way of lacing.
Aroma: A bit of grass on the hops side, a bit of skunk, and light malt notes.
Flavor: Euro lager, grassiness, and a slight oxidized note. Just mildly offensive.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light mouthfeel and a medium-short finish.
Overall: There are far worse in the pale lager world, but this is probably one more reason why this isn’t my favorite style. Just not enough in the flavor department. Not recommended. jonno (576), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Probably one of the better pale lagers around. Quite fruity and easy drinking. Not mind blowing but not drain pour worthy either
