Commercial Description:

Cheramic bottle, bought @ bierkoning, Amsterdam.
Pours deep red brown, slightly hazy. A fine, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has coriander spiciness at first, then dried fruits, caramel, yeast, prunes, light chocolate. High to medium carbonation, fine dry and lightly creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lovely chocolate, a tad milky and dry. Good fruitiness. Quite an elegant dubbel, actually.

Bottled, 500ml clay coated bottle with cork & cage. Dark brown, ruby hue with white head. Dark and sweet malty notes right at the stert, quite fruity, prunes with touches of earthy yeast. Honeyed and full, but not the most interesting beer, it lacks bitterness. Still drinkable though.

Red tinted color body and a small tan head. Sediment and lacing was great. Smell is sweet, light, and fruity. Taste was good but not great. Sweet copper with some bitter at the end. Good balance but once again nothing amazing. The great look of the bottle probably made my expectations too high.

Bottle 50cl. Pours a murky brown colour with little to no head and little carbonation. Smell is very yeasty and fruity, nice variation to it and some good sweetness there too. Taste is rather dissappointing, found it a bit dull to be honoust. Overall an okay dubbel

Bottle. Brown body, with a medium off-white head. Aroma is candy sugar, dark fruits. Flavor is sweet from the candy sugar, dark fruits and malt. Nice.

alcohol, sparkling, red, medium body, lively! I very much enjoyed all the beer’s elements combined as a sensory experience. It was good enough although it reminds wine a lot. It goes very well with your food. I would recommend this to a friend!

Bottle, poured in glass. I’m not too fond of beers that taste too much like wine (i gave the Grand Prestige a 2.3), but this dubbel isn’t bad to sip on.
