| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bottle from Josh. Pours really dark brown with a foamy 3-finger dark tan head. Aromas of creamy burnt malt. Medium body with creamy foamy carbonation. Flavor is berry, smooth burnt malt and a touch of something hoppy/spicey. Overall this is a very good flavor. I think the pomegranite is distinguishable after some time. A bit thin for an IS, but it is really very tasty. AmEricanbrew (1927), Southern, California, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 25, 2009 12 oz. Bottle. I was not a fan of this beer. Smelled sour upon pouring and this carried over into the flavor. It did pour a nice color, but that was the best thing about it. I will have to try it again in the future. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Bottle from Total Wine. A nice discovery, as this pours raven black with a frothy, tan rim. The nose is rich and roasty with notes of burn caramel and coffee. Flavors are equally dark and roasty: fired nuts, chocolate, coffee beans, dark fruits, subtle sour yeast in the front and subtle piney hops in the finish. Well balanced palate. Medium carbonation and full body. Great stout. Cavie (1448), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Bottle courtesy of bleeng. Dark red pour. Smells of nice heavy malt chocolate stout. Flavor compliments this well. Tasty. wavers1 (172), novato, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2009 thanks to daknole for the hookup! pours black with minimal head. the nose actually has a detectable hint of sweet pomegranate, as well as some light smokey and burnt notes. taste and body are almost like soda on first impact, fairly sweet and a strange type of small carbonation. again, the po is present, maybe a lil too much as it’s a pretty sweet brew. but also unique, and still darn good.
