DrnkMcDermott (1596), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Sep 10, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pale gold color, floating bits of sediment. Malt with some note of hop in the smell, pretty nice. Taste, though, is just a little bit off. Sediment seems to have been dead yeast. Getting around that taste, I can find some nice toasty malts with a decent hop balance. Nice carbonation, but again I didn’t care for the dead yeast taste; a filtering problem, perhaps? Since their Stout was pretty decent, I’ll just have to hope I come across this again.
pineypower (924), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Aug 24, 2008 Thanks to Pepsican for this one. Pours out golden with little to no white head. Aroma is mainly of sweet malts, some grain and spice. Taste is straight forward, sweet malts, some fruit, little yeast and a grainy taste lingering in the background. Drinkable fredandboboflo (715), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of lemon, mint, herbalness, grass, hay, wheat, citrus, very interesting. Flavor retains the minty/spicy quality with lots of sweet malt, lots of lemon, lemon juice, lemon candy, some odd grain. Nice tart finish. Again, interesting, and very good. LilBeerDoctor (730), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle courtesy of pepsican. Pours a light gold with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, spices, apple, and orange zest. Flavor is similar to aroma, lots of bread and yeast notes, also some melon. Spicy finish and lively carbonation. Quite tasty and drinkable. daknole (1126), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2008 bottle from pepsican. pours a clear golden yellow with a pillowy white head. Aromas of grain and some bread...some yeasty notes. Tongue is malty and bready. Good today as it was hot as hell here in S Fla.
