But it’s nice and warming and very tasteful. Hints of coffee and darkred fruit, lot of ’winter’ tastes. Also heavy. fonefan (11866), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Medium, but dense beige head over near-black beer with accajou shine. Rather rich caramel & malt nose, dry dark malts, maltbread. Point of vomit (sorry), and green leaves. Dry roasted and slightly bitterish malts. Completely a Dunkler Bock German style - and not a bad one, at that. Bread, and a very slight oxydation. Very slick, medium to well-bodied, porridge-like texture. Not a bad Bock, paying tribute to its German origins.
