gunnfryd (2836), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Golden / orange colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, spices. Flavour is sweet, malt, hay, spices. Thin body. faroeviking (4557), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Nov 19, 2008 Bottle. Unclear pale greenish golden colour. Strange bit sweet aroma of malt and some artificial green tea. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some strange green tea with sweet malt, little spice and some citrus. yngwie (3762), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 25, 2008 Bottle. It pours a hazy orange body with a lively carbonation and a decent white head. Quite weak on the nose, with citrus being the dominant, and it has company of pale malt or wheat, and some vague notes of spices. Medium body, very effervescent and slightly citric, with flavors of lemon, spice-notes, malt and sugar. It sort of feels dry, but it’s actually quite sweetish. Some bitterness too, especially in the very end. I could wish for more pronounced aromas and flavors, and less carbonation. It’s far from a bad beer, but I dont’ think I’m gonna by more bottles. It seems to be more a beer made for marketing than for real enjoyment. (081025) asheft (1017), Marburg, Germany Oct 12, 2008 [bottle at EBF 2008]
Nice malty aroma with some nice lemon notes. Anemic, cloudy yellow with a white ring. Very lemony flavour, almost like Sprite plus hops. Gentle, sweet malt developing into coriander. Thin, but clean, not complex, low carbonation. Maria (4736), Thisted, Denmark Oct 8, 2008 EBF2008. It’s hazy, golden and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of honey, citrus and malt. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, honey, citrus and it’s sort of OK, just way too sweet.
