Commercial Description:

500 ml bottle - thanks for the ankle roll clint!! dark brown pour with foamy tan head; aromas of sweet roasted malts with some chocolate; texture is thin and comes off as a very light porter; quite a bit of sweetness in the front with the roast taking a back sweet; yummy

500ml from Clint. Looks like Coke in my glass. Nose is roasty chocolate, with some coffee an hints of cherry. Lively carbonation with light body. Nice and roasty with chocolate and earthy notes. Tastes like a really nice Schwartzbier.

Scrizz. Dark grain, a little chocolate, and roasted malt nose.A little toast. Dark brown pour some red hue, good lace .Roasty and toasty. A little earth. Nice soft dry finish. Rather straightforward, but tasty. Drinkability is good. A nice porter.

500ml bottle, unfiltered and unpasteurised, brygg 914, bought at Fenaknoken in Oslo. Solid, off-white foam stand that left spotty lacing on the glass. Nice, deep ruby-brown body. Firm malty aroma, tolerable sweet. Medium roasted and mid-sweet dark malts in flavour with rounded bitterness in the aftermath. Fine made brew, with ingredients that work well together Pleasant on the swallow (hotel room, 18.08.2009).

Pours dark brown with a big light brown fizzy head, some lacing. Aroma is fairly sour, some berrylike sourness, roasted and burnt notes, dry cocoa. Flavour is roasted, cocoa, coffee, a bit ashy, a bit sour. Too thin, to uneventful, but easy drinkin’ I guess.
