500ml bottle, unfiltered and unpasteurised, brygg 924, bb. Oct. 2010. Bought at Fenaknoken in Oslo. A Norwegian stout that poured a deep, dark-brown body, topped by a collapsing, beige head. Smell of earthy dark malts. Roasted malts to the taste buds joined by bitter, dark fruits. Bittersweet aftertaste. Easy to drink and a bit thin for a stout (late at night on my hotel room 19.08.2009).

Pours dark brown, a good, lasting beige head. Aroma is fairly fruity and hoppy, faint whiff of berries, roasted malts, and something quite sweet, like fruity vanilla milk chocolate. Flavour lets it down massively. Mostly roasted notes, coffee, a bit harshly metallic, dry fruity hops with a burnt and dry finish. Carbonation is too harsh. Body is medium to light, and it’s a bit watery. Not a bad stout, but nothing amazing.

Bottle at Olympen, Oslo. Dark brown, almost black, with a huge beige head. Roasted aroma, notes of chocolate and vanilla. Mostly chocolate, but also notes of coffee flavours. Some milkiness. A decent oat stout.
