Tap @ The Dutch Bockbier Festival, 2009.
[vintage 2008]
Pours a nice, deep red with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, vinious and nutty. Light prickly carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is malty, some raspberries, raisins and sweetness. Light flowery hops finish and a bit vinious - but there is no sign of the ABV.

Tap. Almost red body. White head. Fresh and sourish aroma. Candy and banana and yeast. Like a mixture of wit and pale ale. Very interesting. Flavor with clear hints of lemon and a little yeast. Very bitter finish. One small glass is very good. But I feel one is enough. (De Beiaard, Amsterdam, 07.12.08)

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Clear brown, brief creamy head. Initial fruity esters, but also a dry grainy aroma. Lively carbonation. Full roasty malty palate, though a bit sludgy in places at first. Not as sweet as german dunkel bocks, but packed full of esters like a good belgian ale. Lovely hoppy finish. Pleasantly warming. Gotta love those dutch bocks...
