Commercial Description:
Is a classic Czech "tmave" (dark) beer with a sweet malty, coffee-like accent. Sweet malts are to the fore on the palate with a hint of drying sensation and a degree of fruitiness on the very lightly hopped finish.

Dark brown colored beer with about two fingers of tan head. Aroma of coffee with cream with a touch of fruitiness I didn’t expect. The flavor is malty sweet with a bit of roast, some cream, toffee, and maybe some red grape. An interesting combination of things going on with this one. Solid.

Bottle in trade from douglas88- thank you! Served in stein- poured barely transparent very dark brown with ruby tints when held to a light source, bubbly off tan one finger thick formed and laced to a degree. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, and dark fruit. HIts the mouth with a medium body, malt is very enjoyable, sweetness noted throughout, finish trails away. Solid sessioner.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours dark brown with tan head. The aroma is sweet, yummy and inviting. I get dark fruity esters consisting of such things as Concord grape jam and blueberries to go along with some roasty dark malts and a touch of toasty toffee-ness. Nice mix of notes. The taste is moderate and smooth with malt sweetness and grape to sweet berry fruitiness. Midway mild roasted malts surface and run right into the finish. Ends somewhat dry.

Bottle courtesy Ibrew2or3. Pours a very dark brown with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma but less prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good.
