Smagen er også maltdomineret, men ikke på den rugbrødsagtige måde. Fin øl men en kende ensformig og ikke helt min type. after4ever (2851), Brier, Washington, USA

Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a dense, creamy, slightly sudsy tan head. Caramelly, slightly toffeeish nose with very rich notes of real butter cream. Not diacetyl butter--butter cream. Smells like some sort of insanely decadent pecan pastry. Not cloying, though, and, unfortunately, not quite dimensional enough to qualify as an exceptionally aromatic nose. Creamy medium body, very subdued carb. Caramel, cream, pecans, and a bit of toffee on the mid-palate, mild pastryish finish. Tasty, very holidayish, and something I would gladly serve to family and friends around a big ol’ turkey and ham. But not one that will haunt my dreams with memories of biere de garde pleasures. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Thick hazelnut, caramel and vanilla flavour with a lightly harsh candy finish. Intriguing Biere de Garde toffee candy effect. Take a bag home for Grandma. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
