Dec 30, 2009 0.75 L corked bottle from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. A thin offwhite head upon a hazed orangey-brown body. Spiced, slightly sweet malt aroma. Some Belgo-yeast and ripe fruits.
Sweet-flavored. Herbal, with yeast notes and a caramelly malt profile. Fruity background and tones of earth. Mid-bodied. Quite sticky in the mouth. Dries up a bit towards the ending. Solid, does not stand out.

Dec 28, 2009 Honey pour produces a descent ivory head that left significant lacing. Aroma and flavor show bubblegum, banana, clove, belgian yeast, and caramel. Not a favorite.

Dec 28, 2009 Bottle from Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton. Pours a hazy orange color with a big beige head that sticks. Aroma of mixed fruits, caramel, Belgian yeast, and straw. The flavor also has a nice amount of fruit- banana, apricot, plum, green grapes, with notes of yeast, caramel, and straw. Some mild spice rounds out the palate. Soft and smooth, with a medium body and moderate carbonation. Dry finish. Nothing exciting, but solid.

Dec 23, 2009 Amber coloured beer with some very light carbonation and a small white head. Sweet vanilla alcoholic malty aroma. Full creamy palate. Finish is bitter, vanilla alcholic and fruity hinted. Nice one.

Dec 20, 2009 750ml bottle $10.49, I feel cheated. Hazy orange color, the head sucks, ha! It smells like funky fruits, belgian yeast, interesting. the taste is more of the same, weird fruits but not sour, maybe a bit of apple in the aftertaste, odd. This was an odd trappist beer, I would have rather had the dubbel.

Dec 19, 2009 bottle, pours carmel red with a tall light tan head. Nice sweet carmel aroma. Toasted nutty malt base with candy sugar and light white pepper notes in the finish. I like this and it’s a great session brew.
