Pretty straight forward and what you’d expect from an American interpretation of a German Hefeweizen. Sweet banana and clove flavors mixed with citrus hops and yeast. anders37 (2827), Malmö, Sweden Oct 3, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head.Has a fruity wheat malty citrus aroma with some hints of banana. Sweetish and slightly fruity wheat malty citrus flavor. Sweetish wheat malty finish with some hints of citrus and banana in the aftertaste. after4ever (1925), Brier, Washington, USA Sep 1, 2008 Draft at Jazz Alley. Pours a cloudy, toffeeish ambery orange with a thick tannish head that sticks around for a little bit...but not forever. Smells sweetly malty and cerealy, a little like a distant cousin to Apple Jacks but with some breadiness in there. Creamy, grainy medium body. Starts off sweet, almost caramely, but then fizzles into not much at all on the finish. As it warms, takes on an iced tea note in the finish. Meh. CapFlu (3353), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 27, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at Taphouse in Seattle. A rather expensive sampler at $9.95 for four 4-ounce samples. Cloudy gold. Nose is wheaty and tonic. Metallic flavour. Average at best.
