| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Rich thin golden. Small white head can’t fight. Sweet corn like aroma with sugar and hops. Flavor is english malt and bland flat hops. Bitter finish. Somewhat agravating. The best thing about this beer is the very bitter finish and it taste way better, I mean 96% better at room temperature. Would have been a 3.5 if I hadn’t rated it when it was cold. 5000 (2634), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Amberish, a little dark and dull with a copper hue, moderate off-white head, foamy, nice lacing.   Subtle hop nose, slight toasted oates, smidgen of citrus.   Hoppy on the tongue but not biting.   This I like.   Malts are there to back it up.   Slight caramel sweetness.   This is pretty well balanced.   Full bodied, the mouthfeel is moderate.   Wet hops linger, as do the toasted malts.   Flavor is great, aroma is fairly good, well balanced, and more importantly it is not biting.   IPAs that don’t bite too hard are my favorite.   Good stuff.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2009 At Left Hand tasting at Petrol Station. Nice bright golden color. Good earthy, peaty hop aroma. Flavor of grapefruit, spices, and earth notes. More like a pale ale, but a very well built one with less malt flavors. FunkyBrewster (524), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2009 On tap at Bar on Buena in Chicago a long time ago. Pours a cider light brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma of strong piney hops and a super sweet citric grapefruit and pineapple character. Awesome honey and sugar cane notes as well, very fresh. Flavor, hops dominate from start to finish, sweet honey and sugar overlayed malt to start along with a tangy fruitiness before a bitter hop resin finish. Medium to full sticky body and an active carbonation. Nice beer, could use a little less bittering and more flavoring hops Cybercat (822), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Pours a pretty clear amber with a fine bubbled off-white head. Aroma is not strong but hoppy and inviting. Flavor is strongly hoppy and fairly but not overly bitter and has whispers of citrus and sweetness. Texture is rough, lively and sassy, leaving a tingly and hoppy finish. TomDecapolis (3214), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Tap at CAH. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of sweet orange, some pine and caramel. Flavor of pine, floral hops, metallic notes, caramel and honey. Kind of easy drinking and a bit thin/disappointing for an IPA.
