Weak effort from the otherwise reliable Left Hand Brewing Co. Next to nothing in terms of cloudiness with a weak, citrus like taste. Expect much better from this fine brewery.

12 oz as part of a mixed witbier 6 for my wife. Nose is pretty nice, expected orange peel and spiciness, but a nice hint of banana and peppery strawberries. Taste is pretty weak - light wheat and banana upfront, some orange peel, then some sugary sweetness that takes away from the decent start. A little watery.

Bottle at Paticks , Kristiansand. Golden- orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is dry, banana, orange. Flavour is dry, banana, orange, wheat, hop, citrus. Medium body. OK beer, but could be more fuzzy and more flavour.

Serving date: 2009-04-16. Served in hefeweizen glass. Yellow color, orange hues. Uneven haze in the liquid. Big white creamy head that settles just a little too fast. Some chunky lacings. The aroma is mostly fruity - bananas, orange peel and peach. Wheat and white bread. Faint spices. A rather week taste. Mostly sweet with some bananas and oranges. Plenty of wheat flavors and toast. Slightly spicy in the middle (cloves, white pepper). The finish is short, minimally bitter and has some spices, minerals and grassy hops. Moderate body, low carbonation that could have been slightly more aggressive. An average beer. It smells and tastes okay. Easy to drink, but it falls short compared to the many great German beers of similar styles. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

13-NOV-2009, bottle @home. Very light hazy white/gold colour with almost white dissappearing head. Wisse-like nose with some spices. Taste is citrus, banana, spices, but in a much too thin package. Medium carbonation, a little to citrussour, and a little too thin. Certainly no match for the better German examples.

Pours a light gold color, slightly hazy with a white head and no lace left over. Aroma is banana and wheat. Taste is the same as the aroma. Dry aftertaste leaving a sour film behind. Disappointing for a Left Hand beer.
