Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel - courtesy of blankboy. Deep golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of light malt and honey that has gone bad (yes, I know that it’s impossible for honey to go bad, but that’s what it smells like!). Flavour is mild but not very pleasant - cloying honey, stale malt, an odd bit of smoke. Limp body as well. Not very good.

My bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of Viper666. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma: Hmmm, along with caramel malt there’s honey there, but not good honey, it almost seems a bit off. Flavour’s an odd one and hard to pin down: It’s sweet, almost sugary, along with some cheap honey, grain, light malt and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. It’s not awful but it’s not very good either.

2008-09-17. Copper amber body, modest beige/off-white head. Mild aroma of toasty malt, caramel malt, a hint of smoke or perhaps a subliminal note induced by the brewery name? (6+) Light malt core, dry toasty caramel malt with a sharp note in the finish - grains? - that I find less than appealing. Average palate. Meh. Bottle shared by Blankboy

660ml bottle shared by blankboy with me, GregClow, jerc and mabel. As "bier au miel." Cloudy deep gold pour with a very small off-white head. The aroma was pretty ugly - brand new sneakers and vegetal, spoiled orange juice. The taste wasn’t so bad, but not good either - sweet, grainy and cheap - "honey" in its dreams. Sticky, somewhat flat mouthfeel and a harshly sweet aftertaste. Not very good at all.
