Commercial Description:
Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.

Bottle. Poured dark and syrupy. Nose had lots of grapes and was definitely sour.Light carbonation. Tart and sweet, with a wine like feel to it. Finish was sweet than slightly bitter. Interesting, glad I tried it.

375ml pours a murky brown with lots of sediment floatng around. It actually looks like a cascading beer. Aromas of mainly acidic citrus, sour and tart. Flavors are at first tart, then smooth off into an easy drinking acidic brown ale. This stuff is delicious.

At Barrys Abbot Ale House Pub, where else in Ireland would you get this? Hazy reddish brown with tiny head. Strong fruity malty aroma of earth, sour berries and some wood and spices develops in mouth. Flavour is sweet and sour. mostly sour finish.

I tasted this beer before I got my account with ratebeer, so I can’t really remember all the flavors.

Pours brown with little head. Aromas of molasses, raisin, plum, and vinegar. Complex sweet and sour flavor with brown sugar and cherry. Finishes fairly quick with just some of the sourness lingering.
