Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 8, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Certainly the dullest beer I’ve had at the Livery, mostly because of its dead mouthfeel.
I like:
Strong focus on the wheat which suits the Livery’s usual refreshing character.

I dislike:
A bit lactic with its tart crème fraîche notes and tart besides. Suffers immensely from its lack of carbonation. It feels dead on the palate and grows almost no foam to top the dull-looking golden cloudiness. The palate is ultimately very watery and nothing grabs your interest outside the wheat.
marcus (1118), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 23, 2008 On tap at the brewery. This hazy yellow ale poured with a thin off-white head and a pleasant yeast aroma. The flavor is a bit thin, but there is a decent wheat base and some lemon notes. kmweaver (2273), Nicaragua Sep 19, 2008 Draft @ the Livery. Pours a murky, grapefruit color; off-white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. This has definitely gone south: lots of buttery / butterscotch notes in the aroma; touches of wheat and cloves beneath, but mostly butterscotch, sadly. Medium mouthfeel: chewy bananas, light cloves, butterscotch, and basic sugars upfront; a very bland, softly carbonated, and indistinguishably spiced hefeweizen; disappointing rendition overall, with a light amount of mineral bitterness on the perimeter. Medium finish: dry cloves, light toastiness, and some bananas / basic fruitiness; the butter dissipates at the far end of things. SQNfan (500), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Aug 22, 2008 Growler from Scubarex: The nose showed off some spice, wheat and balnana but was somewhat subdued. Though the midpalate was even softer. While it had nice texture I was hoping for more concentration and punch. Well made but rather bland. RAYBOY01 (1654), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2008 Hazy golden pour and fizzy white head. The nose is grassy, and touches of banana esters. To that is added hints of cloves and fruity hefe yeast notes. Average.
