Bottle. Pours near black with a lasting beige head. Roasted malt with some dark chocolate and a little bit of hops. Nice roasty malt flavor with some chocolate a hint of smoke, and some nice bettering hops floating on top. Pretty good.

Bomber. Poured rather clear, deep brown with a well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up toasty semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, and lesser molasses with sour metallic and coffee undertones.. baker’s chocolate on the final impression.. just OK. The flavor found more well-roasted (almost charred) coffee and molasses than anything else.. green coffee bitterness and sourness surrounded.. lots of char, more sourness, and residual sugars on the finish. Medium-bodied and grainy on the palate with some off-putting sourness.. not bad, but it didn’t fully come together.

Well done LT. Black colored beer with a tan head. Aroma was strong hops with a oranage, leather, wax, funk to it. Taste was a citrus hop and roasted malt bitter punch. after taste lingers and reminds one of crayola crayons. thicker texture. oneof the best I have had from Long Trail. Will have to try more from the Brewmaster Series.

Recent bottle. Surprisingly good IP by this brewery. Black colour, enormous head with big brown lace. Malts are roasted. Taste is hoppy, and that carries you through a voyage of hoppiness, of roast, a little mollasses. Taste is citrus, minority of wood chips. Average mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours a semi-viscous looking black with a medium sized, creamy, light brown head that leaves some lace. Smells of very sweet roasted malts with some chocolate and quite a bit of alcohol. Tastes of sweet, roasted malts with some chocolate and a hint of coffee.. Very nice. Medium/full body, with nice carbonation. Solid brew.
