glkaiser (1017), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 20, 2008 On tap at brewpub. Light sugary sweet cherry candy. Doesn’t have much of a sour pucker, but comes across astringent and a bit metallic. Didn’t quite work out... Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 21, 2008 Tasted on oak at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland and at meet the brewer event at Green Dragon in PDX--Deep amber-chestnut body with a tan head. Cherry malty hoppy nose. Not as tart or sour as I was hoping for. A little cloying and thin in the finish. Not my favorite LL beer. DA (2586), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 19, 2008 On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours dark copper, red hues at the edges, tall beige head. Nose of earthy tart cherry. This beer had a very metallic flavor to it, distracting and unappealing. Tasted sort of like metallic cherry pits. This beer didn’t seem to pull of the sourness very much, showing more the tartness of the cherries. The esters were subdued, needed more to this, very boring and what character it did have I didn’t care for.
