Nose very yeasty and spicy. Hints of alcohol and and fruits. Taste is very yeasty with an appreciable amount of alcohol. Finish is warm and spicy. Some alcohol and fruits also. A bit too much alcohol for my taste. Really nice beer overall. PWheatley (50), , Quebec, Canada

The aroma is spiced raisins with an alcohol nose. Flavours of raisins and spice. For the ABV this is an easy beer to drink. Overall this is an excellent tripple. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2009 On tap at ’Au Fut et a mesure’, Lille, 12th Dec 09. Golden orange with a little bit of head. Gentle aroma - very hard to pick up. On the tongue there is a pronounced bitterness. Alcoholic heat at the back of the throat. Dry finish. Not as good as I hoped it would be. davisnmn (28), Connecticut, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 Poured hazy amber with a big head made up of loose foamy bubbles, I found this beer to be rather delicious with it’s light sweetness. The hops are not overly done and there is a slight fruit note to the beer. All and all an enjoyable beer. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 21, 2009 With a swing and miss on Maredsous 8, I was slightly hesitant about giving this one a go but in the end it was really a damn good beer. It poured out of the stubby bottle a dark, cloudy orange body, a thick 2" creamy off-white head and beautiful lacing. The head had really impressive staying power too. Coming off the top of this thick head were huge wages of alcohol, flowers, honey, shortbread cookies, and light pitted fruit. Spicy bread notes, banana, alcohol, with a honey-like finish. The only thing negative to find was the overbearing carbonation found in many Belgian style beers and while some work well, this was manageable but it could have been worse. The beer really worked well over-all and is a nice beer to show someone the style of a tripel. cfrancis (363), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow with large off-white head. Flavor is sugar sweetness with a big spice bite. Not my favorite Tripel. tarheels86 (813), Washington DC, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 16, 2009 750mL. Pours a clear yellow with a large, off-white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma is macro-ish: grainy, sweet, a bit musty, corn., white sugar. Taste is earthy, lots of spice, some graininess, frosted corn flakes. Very different than I was expecting. Simple, clean, not too yeasty, sweet.
