Commercial Description:
RESERVE SERIES: Jack Daniels Barrel-Aged Weathertop Doppelbock- Our Doppelbock is a smooth and endlessly malty, adding some Oak chips from a used Jack Daniels Whiskey barrel takes that smoothness and draws it further out on your palate. Kegged on in late March of this past year and finally tapped now, the months of cold aging with the oak and whiskey notes have brought this original concept beer to another level. Wood and whiskey are in the nose. Toasted malt runs through the middle. This will not last long, so enjoy it while you can. There won’t be another one like it for at least a year!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a brown cola like color with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malt, wood & whiskey. Smooth, but biting palate. Medium bodied. Taste is all malt with whiskey notes. Also, some caramel sweetness with an alcohol burn. This was a delicious rare treat.

Copperish color with a small white head. It would appear the color is lighter than what I remembered, yet despite it’s lighter color it’s packed with a lot of character. Aroma is of rich toasty munich malt, a whiff of alcohol and whiskey-oak. Flavor is all malt and whiskey here, with a touch of wood. Medium-full body with a touch of sweetness.
