Slightly citrusy aroma with hints of grass and a subtle sweet toasty undertone. Body is rather light with slight carbonation. Initial toast flavor with a slight bitterness quickly fades leaving a smoky flavor in the finish. oteyj (777), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA

Clear brownish red-amber body with an over sized white frothy head that stands mountainously tall over the rim of my pint. Copious lively carbonation. Aroma is biscuit, caramel, cereal grain, toast, and a slight grassy hoppiness. Flavor is fairly nondescript- caramel and biscuit malt combine with a mild floral vegetative grassy hop note that finishes grainy and slightly astringent. Palate is thin to medium bodied with lively effervescence and a super clean finish. McGarnigle (316), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark amber, decent head. I drank two bottles, and one seemed fizzier than the other. It’s not like most ambers: darker crystal malt, I think, which adds some figgy/plummy flavors. Kind of sweet. Lightly hopped. I didn’t detect much of that Ringwood diacetyl (butter). Not great, but a little different than the standard microbrewery flagship amber ale. joeyplush (337), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottle Pours a cloudy amber with a big light tan head. The head is frothy and lasting. Aroma is crisp with hints of apples, honey, and earthy. Has a high carbonation. The flavor is fruity and belgain like. Has decent taste. The texture is dry. Has a light to medium body. The finish is okay with a pleasing aftertaste. Not a bad drinking beer. A lot of flavor for an amber ale. shp555 (1690), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazed amber with a large off-white head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and left a solid layer of foam with each sip. Pleasant malty aroma with some notes of brown sugar. The flavor falls off just a bit and is predominantly malt with little sweetness and some light hops towards the finish. A decent, problem-free beer. rudolf (1783), Buffalo, New York, USA
