Commercial Description:
Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Hazy orange pour with a mountainous interestingly shaped topographic head that leaves a thick coat of lacing. Aroma is bursting with sweet citrus and nectar fruits with a strong backbone of straw, grass, and pine. Malt profile is medium with notes of caramel and biscuit. Flavor is resinous and sappy- almost bracingly so. Huge notes of citrus and evergreen with an excellent balance of sweet caramel malt. Palate is suitably dry and resinous with a full mouthfeel and lively effervescence. Delicious and well crafted.

Hazy amber with an off white head. Spruce, grass, citrus in aroma. Lots of tonic in flavour along with grass, a sligt sweetness with elements of raisin and ripe fruit in small amounts.

Nice pour. Citrusy pine notes waft off the top with grapefruit and orange being featured prominenetly. Certainly some potent and lingering sticky caramel malts with sugared fruit echoeing in the background. A nice melange of flavor and attitude. Very direct yet with tremendous depth and nuanced flourish. Well done

Bottle. Pours a deep hazy brown with a large beige head. Clean light pineapple and kumquat on some slightly oxidized malt with an earthy plum and vanilla note. Medium bodied, big malty earthiness. Long bitter grapefruit and a bit of oxidized malt again. Possibly a bit old, but still tasty.

Bottle picked up from City Beer in San Francisco. Pours a copper color with a thick egg shell head. Nose is heavy with sweet caramel and toffee and bread. Taste is straight ass. Good amount of caramel and sugar sweetness, the hops taste like rotten lettuce. Moderate bitterness, slight vegetable taste. Chemical aftertaste.

bottle from BIg Z Beverage. Lightly hazy orange in color with a medium off white head. Aroma is citrusy - grapefruit, some light resin, a touch of malt in the back. Taste has an assertive amount of cascade- grapefruit, a touch of flowers and earth, medium malt body with some light crystal and biscuity munich malt - a touch of yeasty bread. Hops are moderate in intensity, lingering semi-bitter finish.

Bottle:Hazy, amber coloured, small but very stable off-white creamy layer; solid hoppy nose, sweet toasted malt and a subtle fruitiness underneath; very robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, quite soft MF; lingering, spicy hoppy finish, pleasantly balanced by sweet toasty and caramelly flavours. No hope without hops.........

Bottle. Pale yellow, a bit cloudy liquid with a rather large, white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of citrus, sweet berries and some soap. Taste is surprisingly complex and has notes of northern forest rather than tropical paradise. Spruce and mire followed by an earthy finish with a herbal bitterness. Some notes of citrus and pineapple. Rather nice, but a bit unbalanced.
