On tap, and in Growler, from brewery. Orange/gold in colour, head dissipating quickly. A bit sweet, malty. Bit of an alcohol aroma. Enjoyed it, have another Growler in the fridge for tomorrow!

Quaff at the pub. Respectably solid malty-feeling body, Aroma slightlyyeasty a bit sweet-malty and there is a trace hops. A little spicy and fruity, warming alcohol, small bitter hop finish. Noticeable raw grainy or wort-like quality, and there’s not much complexity. A few gulps in this Bock is two-dimensional & not really differentiated from many MS beers.

At brewpub. Clear red, off-white head, gorgeous lace. Liquid bread aromas. Some apples and strawberries. Clean, quaffable, low carbonation. Solid malts but and bread crusts eliminate sugars. Fruity, nice degree of complexity. Strength noticeable but has no offensive alcohol overtones. No harshness and very smooth. Good pocket of bockness.

Draught at Mill Street Brewpub, June 2008. This one’s golden orange in the glass, with bready aromas, caramel. I taste caramel with interesting subtle grassiness.
