A golden pils with a thin white head. A very chalkey and german hops in aroma, veering on commercial lager. In mouth, chalkey crisp malt, similar to a can of German lager. Medium bodied. On tap at Russian River Beer and BBQ Revival, August 15 2009.

On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale Fest. Pours with a bit of a chill hazed yellow body and a fading white head. Aroma has a bit of diacetyl, fruit, bread and grass. Taste is fruity, bready and crisp. Good. Fizzy and dry.

on tap at papago... hazy gold pour with fluffy white head. smells like sweetened hand soap, pils grain, earth and lemon zest. the flavor is similar... awfully sweet for a pils and lacking a bitter crispness i so love in the style. it does finish a bit dry but it tastes a little dirty or muddled. the body is medium while the texture is a touch oily and thick since it lacks the usual crisp character. 6/4/5/3/13/3.1

On tap@ the brewpub. Served clear golden with a thin creamy white film. Light flower petal hops with some light citrus rinds atop a saltine cracker malt backbone, faint fresh pasta there as well. If the aroma wasn’t so faint, it’d have gotten an 8. Flavor had the hops even fainter with more malts and some honey sweetness. The lack of hops kept it from being as crisp as I’d have liked. Bitterness peaked around a 2 in the finish. Low prickly carbonation with a light body. Actually a pretty darn decent pils from an American brewer--just add more hops next time!

Draught. Poured pale gold yellow with thick white head. Hoppy aroma with malt edge. Medium malt flavour with biscuit and toast tinges. Lekker gentle hop finish.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Average pilsner, not very interesting. Malt, grain, and some floral hopping. Clear gold pour.
