Bottled. Murky reddish brown colour along with creamy mediumsized head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild wooden and flowery hoppy notes. Flavour is quite close to this, but has a mildly bittery finish. A pleasant bottled bitter.

Flaske 0,5l delt med Rune. Mørkebrun på farge. Pent kremaktig skum. Kraftig aroma av karamell. Smaken er litt forsiktig. Malt og karamell framtredende. Mye smak i forhold til alkoholstyrken. Passet helt fint til rømmegrøt & spekemat på St.Hansaften. KI=4

500ml bottle shared with Finn at our social gathering on Midsummer Eve. Bubbly, beige head over a deep red-brown body. Malty aroma lightly roasted. Dry hops, grain and caramel malts in a flavour that ends up with a smooth bitter twist. The ale was, in fact, quite well paired with cured meats and porridge made with soured cream (Tromsø, 23.06.2009).

Bottle. It pours a clear, copper body under a small off-white head. Bready, quite fruity nose. Mostly dried fruits like prunes. Something reminiscent of oxidation, and a hint of toffee as well. The flavor is on the malty side, with bread and toffee, some oxidation, a hint of hazelnuts, some fruity hops and a little bitterness. Bready, bitter finish. Medium body. Far from impressing, and rather boring too. (090422)

28.02.2009, 0,5l Bottle. Dark brown colour, firm off-white head. Aroma is malt and hops. Both malt and hops are a little neutral. Nice but not perfect.

500 ml bottle. Dark copper colour. Clear. Small off-white head that clings to the glass. Medicinal hops and a distinct cacao powder aroma. Light-bodied, but with nice nutty flavours. Dry texture and a little powdery. Gentle crisp hop bitterness. Dry earthy hops with a soft bitterness in the finish.
