Aroma is caramel malts, some mild wooden and flowery hoppy notes. Flavour is quite close to this, but has a mildly bittery finish. A pleasant bottled bitter.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2009 500ml bottle shared with Finn at our social gathering on Midsummer Eve. Bubbly, beige head over a deep red-brown body. Malty aroma lightly roasted. Dry hops, grain and caramel malts in a flavour that ends up with a smooth bitter twist. The ale was, in fact, quite well paired with cured meats and porridge made with soured cream (Tromsø, 23.06.2009). cgarvieuk (4183), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Bottle. It pours a clear, copper body under a small off-white head. Bready, quite fruity nose. Mostly dried fruits like prunes. Something reminiscent of oxidation, and a hint of toffee as well. The flavor is on the malty side, with bread and toffee, some oxidation, a hint of hazelnuts, some fruity hops and a little bitterness. Bready, bitter finish. Medium body. Far from impressing, and rather boring too. (090422) RuneStumo (521), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway
