Dark brown color; generous head. Perfumy aroma, a bit soapy, with roasted nuts. Good mouthfeel, good caramel and roasted nuts flavor, the body is lean but there is a pleasant residual sweetness; correct bitterness. Nothing exciting, but well brewed.

(Draught) Clear red with a smallish, but firm and tanned, lightly lacy head. Roasty Schwarzbier aroma with caramely touches. Lightly burned, roasted-malty flavor with caramel and a touch of sourish vegetables. Medium body, soft and lowish carbonation. Not too burned this time, but not too exciting.

Another winner from Nils Oscar. Loads of various hops and malts, ening up with a lovely complecx beer. Sweet and dried fruits, aprictos and raisins. Leather, tobacco, pepper and nutmeg. Balancing between the powerful malt and the punch of the hops.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Spicy aroma with dark chocolate. rainniny with rhummy notes. Very spicy flavor, caramelly sweet with roast, coffee and dark chocolate. Anis in the aftertaste. Almost full bodied. Why all those spices?

It poured a pitch black liquid with a light brown foam that left very little lacing. It had a smell of chocolate, spices, burned malt and a hint of plastic. That plastic smell wasn’t very pleasent. Smooth mouthfeel with a thick body and low bitterness. Taste of chocolate, burned toast, malt and nuts. A nice beer but the plastic smell draws down the points. Looking at other reviews not everybody seems to have had this problem, so might be worth trying another bottle.
