Commercial Description:
A rather malty brew, which we think goes very well with cheeses - even well matured blue cheeses. You can also try our Amber paired with a grilled dish. Recommended serving temperature 10°C/50°F.

Ingredients: Maris Otter, Munich, and caramel malt; Chinook and Williamette hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

14°P, 30 IBU, 6.0 ABV.

Farge: En herlig dyp brunfarge Lukt: Godt! Smak: Humle, karamell (sv: kola), og en liten hint av kaffe som var litt overraskende.

Bottle in Bergen. Cloudy dark brown color with some particles. Nice head. Tasted a little iron, a lot of chocolate, malt, coffee and caramel. There were also some fruitiness. Mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.

Fruity and malty. Quite dark compared to other ambers. Fine bitterness with good after-taste.

25.03.2004, 0,5l Bottle. Batch 06. Blomsteraktig aromahumle. Mye smak og godt ale preg. Mangler litt sødme for å balansere bitterheten etter min smak. God og smaksrik.

Dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty with a little citrus hops. Dry and malty flavour with a little caramel and a nice and hoppy finish

Poured darker than I was expecting, held up to the light it was a reddy amber but just looking at it it looks black. Tan coloured head was a good size and hung around for a while. Malty aroma, slightly burnt caramel with some dark fruits. Medium body with the taste of pepper, cinnamon and also some brown sugar but a dry texture and a chalky finish.
