Nice hazy, burnished orange with a fluffy white head. Slightly sweet entry followed by a long spicy bitter finish. Good, but Great Divide Hercules has upped my expectations of this style. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Hazy amber colour with a huge airy white head. Aroma is perfumey and flowery hops and light caramell. Flavour is fat caramell and flowery hops with notes of pine and passionfruit in the rather harshly bitter ending. Palate is smooth with lively carbonation. beerbill (1977), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2009 500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep gold with a large linen white head that lasted until the end and left dense layers of lace with each sip. Pleasant aroma of malt, pine resin, and just a bit of grapefruit. The flavor begins with some moderate malt followed by some equally moderate pine and citrus bitterness. The bitterness is not overdone and does not overpower and lingers briefly beyond the swallow. An enjoyable IPA. beerfest5 (200), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Nice IPA and what I love is this maybe for the first time an european brewer is making an American version of a beer instead of the other way around, like MIkkeller. Heavy on the grapefruit and floral notes, almost overbearing when you get ot the end, but still very nice. yemenmocha (426), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Pours off-amber gold with medium head. Cloudy.
Nose has plenty of mixed citrus with pronounced grapefruit.
Very thick mouthfeel compared to what I was expecting, tartness is prominent, and again the grapefruit dominated citrus comes through.
Great ale but not necessarily for this imported price. Scauca (414), Lovere, Italy

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Medium to light orange, a bit hazy, huge head. Aroma is citric, some hop bitterness, and a bit of caramel. Flavor is biscuity malt with bitter citrus hops, primarily grapefruit. Some pine as well. A bit of yeast note on the finish. Not bad, but not quite my favorite take on the style.
