Commercial Description:
In the US, called BrouCzech Dark.

Pyrope or Bohemian garnet stones were randomly collected in our territory by ancient Celts. It is a stone of all-binding fire, passion as well as purity of heart. However, it is generally known as a stone of love. Thanks to its typical colour, its name has been used metaphorically in connection with the colour of dark and semi-dark beers. Granat from Nova Paka is a dark sweeter lager with quality rich foam that is suitable for mixing pale types; alcohol 5%.

Bottle. Dark brown with a medium-sized off-white head. Sweet and roasted malt aroma. The flavour is sweet and roasted malt with notes of chocolate and smoke. Liquorice in the aftertaste. Quite good dunkel.

Bottled, $2. Vegetal, slightly roasty, very "beery" aroma. Hints of dates and figs. Kind of crisp, fig, mustard seed and spinach flavor. Easy drinking, mild body, good carbonation. Soft and relaxing.

Honestly don’t remember where or why I had this, but I have the numbers down in the record, so be it!

Clear bodied, dark brown color with ruby hue and easily diminishing light brown head. Typical dunkel attributes in the aroma, like caramel malty sweetness, toffee balanced with medium hop dryness and some typical "Nová Paka kinda" earthy, slightly sulphurous yeast nose (and flavor). Toasted malts and the grassy hops with heavy, roasted, burnt feel at the finish. Medium body, lively carbonation. More balanced then the other N.P brews .The only mistake what i’ve found is in the appearance.

first impression is that carb comes across just like a glass of RC or some other pitiful soda pop. latent bubbles that pop up when they feel like it. aroma is metallic with notes of chocolate and cola. flavor has 1% of a beginning of hops or some spice that might get me riled but it fades so quickly its hard to even articulate what i once felt. metallic nose continues to disrupt the flavor.

Bottle, 5.0%. Quite caramelly aroma, hint of liquorice. Clear dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour has some nice dark malt, slightly roasted with a hint of liquorice. Good smoke aftertaste, with a little barnyard. Rather high bitterness, quite late.
