Almost clear, dark brown colored body with a reddish hue. Discreet, dryish malt aroma, coffee and milk-chocolate, notes of dusty hops and spices. Powdery mouthfeel. More coffee and chocolate, some fruity tones, and a mild, lingering, herbal hop bitterness. Quite filling considering the low abv. Light sour-sweet, mildly spiced ending. Tasty and balanced and has a surprisingly rich flavor for only 4,5% alcohol.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 24, 2009 500 ml bottle, bought at Fenaknoken, Oslo. ABV is 4.5%. The label advertises "Vikingfestivalen 2009". Dark brown colour, big to moderate beige head. Interesting aroma of juniper, resin and hops, hints of lightly roasted malts, some smoke, mild coffee and chocolate. The mouthfeel is fairly thin and dry. The flavour is dominated by juniper, the finish has some coffee and resin and is otherwise dry and "dusty", with just a slight acidity. Kestral (212), Oslo, Norway
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bottle from Fenaknoken. Pours dark brown with a finger of tan head that dissipates quickly to a ring. Aroma isn’t huge. Some burnt notes, coffee, chocolate, metallic hops, and a vague note of something wierdly artificially fruity, like tutti frutti bubblegum. Flavour has got quite a bit of roasted and burnt notes, with a herbal and metallic hop finish. Slight smoked notes and nuts comes in when it warms, along with a vague sour note. Body is medium to light, verges on being thin. Sparkly carb, I’d like it smoother. LarsEngen (101), Sandvika, Norway

Pours deep brown with a medium light brown head that quickly dissapears. Aroma is a bit weak, but notes of roasted coffe and chocolate. Flavor is chocolatecoffe with a more dominant coffe aftertaste. Quite easy to drink, and quite interesting beer from a very small brewer.
