"A light and refreshing beer. A surprisingly full mouth-feel with a superior balance of malt and hop, and a rewarding fruit finish."

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear pale golden colour with a small but persistent white head. Fruity nose. Light-bodied yet full of flavours. Malty background with fruity hints (lemon, orange, passion fruit) and a shy spicy-herbal touch. Thirst-quenching and complex at the same time.

Bottled 50cl. Clear pale golden with a nicely remaining lacing white head. Fantastic expressive nose. Wonderfully hoppy with hints of gooseberry, a huge amount of strawberry, dried apricot, lemon peel, sweat and pale malts showing up- suddenly mint and liquorice allsorts emerge. The strawberry component is rather present in the taste too. Nice hop profile. Good bitterness. White pepper, hay, baguette and pear sneaking in. Complex. Licorice and earthy hops showing up on the swallow leading to a dryish finish which is reminiscent of rose and lemon peel. A top notch Golden Ale. I reveled in every sip.

Bottled 500ml. -Cloudy orange coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, dusty slight hoppy nose. Sweet malty, lemony hoppy and mild spicy with bready and grassy notes. Not so watery as I’ve expected. Moderate bitter finish.

50cl dark brown bottle, completely different from the one pictured (and, yes, the same beer). Pale, clear golden yellow colour, medium white head that collapses quickly. Generous lacing, though. Aroma of hops, yeast and lemon. Medium-bodied IPA, ok mouthfeel, low carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with malt and hops eqully present. Some floral notes, a bit spicy, but not much in terms of fruit. Dry, hoppy finish, mildly bitter after taste. For an IPA the hops aren’t quite strong enough, it feels more like a regular golden ale. Smooth sailing: Quite refreshing, certainly sessionable - but also a tad faceless. I’ve certainly had better blondes, especially at this price tag (€ 3.50 for the bottle).

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Slightly sweet and juicy pale malty aroma with notes of citrus and woody, slightly sweaty hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderately carbonated dry mouthfeel. Fruity and subtle grainy taste, accompanied by slightly flowery and woody hops; quite dry and moderately bitter finish with present hops character. Likeable pale Ale. 02.XI.09

Bottle. A pale, yellowish beer topped by a decent white head. Citrusy, almost tea-like nose with pale malts in the back. Lovely citrusy flavor with some pale malts. Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but tasteful and refreshing. Quite dry, and with a citrusy finish where also some bitterness shows up. Sure a decent beer, with good quenching qualities. 090720
