Aroma of fruits, pine apple, some citrus maybe, hints of malts. Taste of the distinct OMB fruity pine apple like hops, a very distant sourness, some malts, nice sort of roasted malts bitter finish. Well balanced body, well carbonated and silky soft, almost like a Guinness. One of the better beers from this place. yngwie (5000), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2009 On tap at the brewery, half pint. It pours a slightly hazy and pale, golden color. A nice, lasting, creamy, one-finger head. Lacings. Citrusy nose, lemon and grapefruit, with other fruits as well. Malty background, and the typical OMB house character. Fruity flavor with citrus. A bit sweet initially, malty sweetness. Medium body with fine carbonation. Fine bitterness in the dry finish. I see other raters have butchered the beer. I was told by the brewer that they had some line issues, and that I got a new batch. Such problems shouldn’t happen, but I’m glad it was fixed, this one was actually both flavorful and refreshing. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Half pint (4.2% abv) that took a long time to pour, perhaps indicating a well crafted brew. It was served with a nice, white eggshell head on top of an amber body with a slight haze, and that left spotty laceworks behind. Modest floral aroma with notes of late fruity tartness. Nice fruity hops in flavour with a good bitter support. A bit thin texture, but it gave me the right kind of UK-bitter feeling (draught at the brewpub in Oslo, 15.03.2009). Hazy gold, soft carbonation and firm head. Sweetish, unpleasant. Some infection here, a clear element of vomit in both the aroma and flavour. OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Updated: Feb 20, 2009Draught@the brewpub. A low offwhite foam leaving fine laces. Cloudy orangey-amber body. Low aroma level. A dry, light fruity scent and a touch of caramel. Taste is dominated by an unpleasant vinegar-like sourness. Mouthfeel is quite watery. Short sour/astingent finish. Almost undrinkable. Infected. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Hazy amber, dense offwhite head. Citrussy hop aroma. Good toffee and citrus flavours. quite bitter. Does not distinguish itself much from the other brews, that tend to be American-inspired. Also, have the Oslo Mikrobryggeri beers become more watery lately? Still, highly drinkable, but a point deducted for lack of originality. larsga (2980), Oslo, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Medium offwhite shiny lasting creamy head. Hazy amber body. Fruity resiny aroma with mealy notes. Dry-sweetish resiny honey strawberry taste with mealy straw notes. Fresh and clean palate. Mid-bodied. Dusty mouthfeel. Long, lingering dry wooden resiny straw aftertaste with citric caramel notes. (0.25l draft, Oslo Mikrobryggeri.) Gr0ve (1412), Oslo, Norway
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 14, 2009 1/2 pint draught at the brewpub. Hazy light copper colour. Medium-sized creamy white head that clings to the glass. Little aroma except some velvety fruit. Crisp hoppy bite, mostly bitterness, but also a little sharp hop flavour. Feels like high-alpha hops. Very refreshing on the tongue. Medium-bodied. Nice grainy texture with a light malty flavour. An excellent session ale that is very drinkable except perhaps for its really sharp bite from the hops.
