Bow-shaped trumpet with a collapsing head and lace dabs. Peach mistiness, not fully hazy. Authentic ripe estery aroma with banana, pepper, Hubba Bubba. Toffee apple and banana fizz, thinnish sherbety condition, clovey spice. ’Bananas galore’ chipped in Dirtman. No pithy US hops in sight, and it’s something of a relief. Clean, tanging and authentic, just lacking a bit of body. The pick of the beers sampled at the brewtap. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Hazy yellow coloured with a medium sized creamy white head.
Sweet and fruity aroma dominated by bananas with notes of spices and citrus.
Fruity flavour of bananas, citrus, spices and hops.
Hoppy and spicy finish. Too strong aroma of banana esther. Some citrus notes. Lacks freshness and complexity. Short. Bad weizen, tastes like a pure extract brew or a faulty mash. And, yes, tried it several times with same result. Sorry, but this is not a good example of the style at all and overall a dull brew. Beer2000 (1828), Kristiansand, Norway

Aroma is quite typical, banana, yeast and spicy. Flavor is refreshing citrus with some lemon. I find this really refreshing and well balanced. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway

The color was yellow, but it seems like it was overly filtered as there wasn’t as much of the cloudiness I’d expect in a Hefe-Weizen. There were some lemons in the taste, it was a little bit sour. It has a smooth light mouthfeel and after taste. This would make for a good session beer. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Light white head slowly departs from the rather dark, golden to amber pour. Warming fruity nose, playing more in the ester than phenol ballpark with citrusy lime/lemon flavors backed by solid banana puree and a firm dose of supporting hops. The mixture works pretty well to make a very fresh impression. Medium bodied, expansive, yet easy-going carbonation. A very satisfying first half-pint at this favorite Norwegian brewpub of mine.
