Very interesting, complex aroma of caramel, spices, chocolate malts, white wine, port, alcohol and some smoke: so very complex and also well balanced. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet. Bit tartness from (German) hops and some yeastiness in the finish. Warming mouthfeel. Very nice porter. RuneStumo (533), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway

Berry fruit and citrus US hop aroma with background roast. Burnt toast, astringent husky bitterness, fruity hop back up with blackcurrant and citrus. Some stale cardboardy off notes detracting from the decent roast and hop. Very US-influenced take on style, just not quite there.. joergen (8638), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Chocolate, juniper and rich hoppy flavour. Balanced bitterness, and all in all good balance of hops and dark malts. Very low on sweetness and dark malts, which would make this a very modern style brewpub porter. No caramel sensed. Smaskifa (56), Oslo, Norway
