On tap @ brewpub. Comes dark brown, with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice and roasted malt. Taste is smooth , coffee, malty, with rather sweet end.

Draught at the brewpub Clear, deep brown body. Smaal, creamy, lightly brown head. Nice looks. Very interesting, complex aroma of caramel, spices, chocolate malts, white wine, port, alcohol and some smoke: so very complex and also well balanced. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet. Bit tartness from (German) hops and some yeastiness in the finish. Warming mouthfeel. Very nice porter.

Draught, Oslo Mikrobryggeri. Deep ruby with a beige rim and buckets of lace. Berry fruit and citrus US hop aroma with background roast. Burnt toast, astringent husky bitterness, fruity hop back up with blackcurrant and citrus. Some stale cardboardy off notes detracting from the decent roast and hop. Very US-influenced take on style, just not quite there..

Draught at Oslo Mikrobryggeri. Pale brown colour. Juniper and UK hops in aroma. Chocolate, juniper and rich hoppy flavour. Balanced bitterness, and all in all good balance of hops and dark malts. Very low on sweetness and dark malts, which would make this a very modern style brewpub porter. No caramel sensed.

On tap. Black with a nice finger thick head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and some fruity pine apple, tropical fruits. Taste of strong coffe, bitter hops, hints of fruits and pine apple. Has a sort of crispy and dry feel in the mouth. A pretty nice beer. Served way too cold.
