Strong coconut aroma, covering the roasted malt, it reminds me the Batida liquor. Dry mouthfeel, roasted malt flavor, strong, with some coconut and chocolate. I find that adding coconut to the beer is a weird idea, but the result is drinkable. bu11zeye (5698), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2009 On tap @ PP Carlsbad. Clear deep ruby with a one finger tan head, creamy with good retention. Smells of sweetened store-bought shredded coconut, dirt (not earth, which is good, at least for me), and some roasted malts. Flavor is the same--over the top coconut everywhere. Dirty finish with bitterness @ a 2. Light body with low carbonation. Not good, very artificial. cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
