2009 batch, pours from bottle dark reddish brown with virtually no head. Strong alcoholic scent, almost overpowering. Bland, malty taste with small undertones of roast, but not nearly enough to justify the poorly concealed exhibitionist alcohol, which also affect the palate in a rather disturbing way. Can’t get any aroma vibe from this beer at all, except the strong alcohol presence which really doesn’t do much in the way of taste improving. Guess its main purpose is to get Norwegians really drunk on Christmas Eve. Disappointing.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head leaving nice long lacings. Clear dark ruby body. Sweet roasted malt aroma with caramel and alcohol. Sweet roasted malt flavor with caramel and a bit of alcohol. A bit of bitterness in the finish. Alcohol present but well hidden by the sweetness. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste.
