Bottle, 4.9%. Very mild smoke aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Small off-white head. OK smoke flavour, like a campfire, some charcoal.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is smoked and malty. Dry malty and slight leathery towards mild wooden/beach wooden. Dry roasted and smoked into the far finish. Dry wooden and slight spiced finish. Nice one.

From the Bottle at RBESG Harlequin, Sheffield 19/07/2009 Smoke aroma. Amber coloured a little fruity and smoky flavoured with some dryness in a crisp malt finish.

bottle, from Bierzwerg. Clear amber colour with a mid-sized head. Malty nose with just a touch of smoke. Malty and slightly smoky with earthy and resiny hops in the finish. A bit thin but nice.

Bottle at RBESG 09 Sheffield. Amber, thin beige head. Smoke. Subtle. Good clean flavour. Lovely I thought.

[9/10/08] Bottle at a friends’ house in Amsterdam. Clear amber color with small head. Aroma of smoked sausages. Sweetish smoked flavor with wood, meat, earthy notes, caramel and herbal notes. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

Bottle @ RBESG 09 Shefield ...copper ... sweet roast little smoke nose ... sweet toffee ... little caramel suger .. smoke.

Dark brown. No head. Smokey nose. Moderately smokey flavour with caramel notes. Good balance, but it’s very minerally and a bit thin.
