Commercial Description:
Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.

a dark cloudy brown. good head retention. a crisp piney, spearmint, american hop aroma. flavor is sweet for a second and then turns to scraping bitter hops. theres a sharp acidic brightness as well. medium body, fairly creamy, A bit too astringent for me.

Orange pour with foamy white head and lace. Citrus and caramel malt on the aroma. Bread, medicine, medium bitter/sweet finish. Medium bodied with decent mouthfeel just a tad thin. Nice balance on this beer.

Amber color. The aroma is slightly hoppy and resiny, as expected, but not impressive. And indeed the flavor is too roasted: roasted nuts and roasted malt. Strong bitterness. It doesn’t go in the direction that I like.

Bottle at an impromptu tasting at lithy’s. Pours gold with small beige head. The aroma is soap and citrus hops. The flavor is lavender, soap, citrus, apple, and a papery hop finish. Meh.

(Cask at Chelsea Cask Festival) Amber and lightly hazy. Small white head. Molasses and hops in aroma. Medium bodied palate with little carbonation. Malts, hops, sweetness, fruitiness, bitterness and grass in taste. Hops and bitterness in afertaste. Too sweet aroma but otherwise ok.

12 oz bottle. Pours light copper in colour, with a nice frothy off-white head, which leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is earthy, herbal hops. Taste is super bitter. Carbonation is very fine, with a smooth, sweet finish.
