| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Orange yellow in color. Head recedes fairly quickly. Lots of cereal taste to this one. After a few sips, get a hit of creamed corn. Easy to drink. Taste does not linger. Pipper (264), Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 21, 2009 A medium yellow pour with a fast fading off’-white head. It is certainly a light and refreshing ale, as the commercial description reads, but there’s not much going on in the flavor or aroma profiles. Definitely fell short of what it might have been. mkel07 (553), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 17, 2009 330ml bottle. Rich golden colour with some haziness and a small thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and a tart citrus flavour comes through with a sour finish. Not unpleasant but different, a bit musty and earthy. djd07 (755), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bomber. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a medium creamy white head leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a fruity malt with bubblegum and rice. Thin mouthfeel with a crisp bready malt with orange and banana with a clean finish. Easy to drink a good grain from Rogue. zdk (271), New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 I wasn’t sure why this buckwheat ale from an American company was pretending to be asian, but I guess it makes sense that they’re going for the "soba" angle. Though soba refers specifically to the japanese noodle made out of buckwheat. So anyway, the beer itself is quite good. Pours orange, bready arouma. I like the hints of caramel. It comes through, tho its still oddly elusive. Was specifically recommended by the guy at Whole Foods (NYC-Bowery) fidel (1013), Livermore, California, USA

Aroma: Lightly sweet aroma. Very dark brown appearance, light head. Malty semi-sweet taste. Interesting beer.
