Commercial Description:

28.11.2009,0,33l Bottle. Dark brown colour with tan head. Lively carbonated. Aroma is malty and strong. There is a sweetish caramel maltaroma with some raisins and fruit. There is not so much of aroma hops but there is a distinct bitterness at the end.

0.33 L bottle from Vinmonopolet. Looks nice. A tall, tan head with a ruddy tinge, covering a crystal clear, ruby-brown body. Initial aroma of fresh yeast and perfumed fruits. Then a smell of dry, rosted malts and mild coffee. Taste is a tad sweeter than the aroma indicate. Fruity sweetness at first, followed by caramelly, roasted malts. A light sourish undertone. A fair amount of bittering hops included. Well-bodied. Powdery, dusty mouthfeel. Rounded, malty-bitter finish. A Belgian brown? Nevertheless, I like it a lot.

Pours murky brown with a large frothy beige head. Aroma is light yeasty and has some caramel in it as well as alcohol. Once in the mouth the taste is dark malts and band aid. Like danish rye bread or german pumpernickel bread. Flavor is light sweet, salt, bitter and acidic. Averagely lasting finish. Medium bodied. Syrupy texture with a lively carbonation. Not bad.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of citrus, malt, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, nuts, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcohol finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours a clear reddish brown with a firm beige head. Roasted malty nose. Medium body, lots of roasty malts, nuts and a little ashes. Sweet underlying vanilla sweetness. A little malt bitterness. A Brown Ale indeed. 091109
