Wegro (191), Fresno, California, USA Jan 9, 2009 really expected more and didn’t like this one. so much for a weizenbock, was pretty clear ruby and i expected at least something cloudy. had a candy sweetness and thin body that made me want to pour it down the drain. not even close to making me want to have another let along keeping me warm during the winter time. carruthm (549), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 8, 2009 A tannish amber color with little head, not so much heavy with the spice that I would expect out of a winter beer, but more just malty DarkSong (2), Dacula, Georgia, USA does not count Jan 8, 2009 12 oz bottle. Had a small head that quickly vanished. It’s color was a nice coppery brown. It tasted of honey and toffee with a slight hop bitterness. BigBeer45 (521), Troy, Michigan, USA Jan 7, 2009 Pours a clear dark gold with some amber and bronze, has a small creamy white head, also, this beer has a small constant effervescence, looks nice but this is not cloudy like all of the other Weizenbocks I have tried, no sediment in the bottle either, light flavor of dark fruit, malt, bread and some sweetness, appears to have a carbonation bite and a bit of citrus bite on the palate at the finish, some malt flavor and sweetness trails after the finish, the mouth feel of this beer is not full like a weizenbock, this is ok but disappointing, does not stack up in aroma, flavor and mouth feel to the other weizenbocks I have sampled. drjay44 (255), Colorado, USA Jan 6, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin lasting head, with some lacing, over a lush amber clear body.....nose of yeast, bread and malts, not much fruit, bit of honey.....tastes of malts, bit of bitterness on the finish....mouth feel is light. This is my first weizenbock and although a pleasant beer, I don’t think it really meets the style. Normally spices are not added, and the ABV is too low.
